On Sunday, October 5th, the United Methodist Church, along with other Christian denominations around the world, observe World Communion Sunday. This special day celebrates the unity and diversity of the universal Christian community. As we gather around the Lord’s table, we recognize our unity in Christ, joining with others worldwide in Holy Communion.

In recognition and support of this important worldwide connection, Champlin UMC’s Ministry of the Month for October is World Communion Sunday. Funds raised on this Sunday, and throughout the month, are allocated by the United Methodist Church to scholarships and leadership training for under-represented students, for the purpose of nurturing diverse leadership within the church.

You are invited to support this mission in October with a monetary donation, either in the Ministry of the Month basket on Sunday mornings, or by noting “World Communion Sunday” or “Ministry of the Month” on your check or online donation.
