Janson Steffan is a graduate of Champlin Park High School and benefited greatly from their phenomenal music program under the direction of Steve Lyons. He has been working in Music Ministry for nearly three decades. He is a vocalist and proficient on guitar (acoustic, electric, classical, flamenco), bass, piano and keyboards, trumpet, and drums and percussion.

Janson’s career in music has included pit orchestras, jazz ensembles, rock bands, acoustic duos, brass quintets, marching bands, piano accompanist, vocal choirs, songwriting and arranging, recording production (studio and stage), theatrical lighting design, and much more.

Janson recently served at Flame of Faith United Methodist Church in West Fargo, ND for six years.

Prior to returning to Champlin, Janson worked at Garrett-Evangelical Theological Seminary in Evanston, IL, for four years as Chapel Tech, Music Coordinator, and Chapel Coordinator. He will complete his Master of Divinity degree this summer through distance education.
